Fyreside Kennels was established in 2000. Before getting into Weimaraners we had owned Labradors for over 20 years.
When Monty passed away we decided that it was time to get a different breed. After many months of research
we had decided on a weimaraner. We purchased our first bitch Ella from Divani Kennels.
The name "Fyreside" was chosen as our kennel name because of my orchardist fathers, germanic background.
The Thiele family where amongst the pioneers of the fruit growing community in Doncaster, Victoria, Australia. This area was known for its orchards for more than a century.
At one time nine family members exported fruit under the registered name "Thiele's Fireside Fruits".
Our family decided that Fyreside would be an appropriate name for our kennel name and prefix because of its family connection to Germany and the fact that Weimaraners are German hunting dogs.
